General Notes: Husband - Samuel Gasten


He located on the farm where his son James was born, about 1805 or 6, having come from the vicinity of Indiana.
The Gasten farm was a part of two tracts; one was patented in the name of William Findley, in 1795, and was called "Findley;" the other was patented to Mason & Cross.
