General Notes: Husband - George Wilkinson


He was captain of the "Blairsville Blues" from 1849 to 1855, and also captain of the "Washington Blues" till they were re-organized to enter the Civil War. He was also lieutenant colonel of the 1st regiment, 1st brigade, 17th division Pa. militia for several years.

The "Union House," of which he was proprietor, was erected by James Love, in 1855. In 1876 it was enlarged by Mr. Wilkinson until it had twenty-two rooms.
