General Notes: Husband - Henry Gelbach

He was born in Bavaria, Germany, and immigrated to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, in 1830. He subsequently removed to what is now Forward township, Butler County, and purchased 100 acres of land, later known as the Markel farm. This he cleared and improved, and resided on it down to within a few years of his death, which occurred at Zelienople, whither he had removed from his farm.
