General Notes: Husband - Isaac Ghrist


He was reared and educated in Maryland. He was a blacksmith by trade. He married and the young people continued to reside in Maryland for several years after their marriage. They then moved to Fayette County, PA, finally going farther west, to near Ironton, Ohio. He and other members of the family died of cholera during an outbreak of that disease at Ironton.


General Notes: Wife - Maria Willison


Her first husband and other members of the family died of cholera during an outbreak of that disease at Ironton, Ohio. After the death of her second husband she removed to Illinois with her sons, Elias and William.
