General Notes: Husband - Col. George Gibson


He was of Scotch-Irish descent; commanded a regiment through the Revolutionary war, and fell in the defeat of St. Clair in 1791.
He was a great linguist and possessed much wit; was a splendid officer, and beloved by everyone for his jovial nature.


General Notes: Wife - Ann West


She was an intelligent and highly-educated lady for her time.

After the death of her husband, she moved to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, to educate her four sons.
