General Notes: Husband - James W. Gibson


He resided with his parents until he was twenty-one years old, and then began working as a coffin finisher, which business he followed for six years. He removed to a homestead at this time, and thereafter engaged in agricultural pursuits. He was a Republican in politics, and both he and wife are members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
In August, 1864, he enlisted in Company B, Sixth Pennsylvania Artil-lery, and served in that battery until the close of the Civil war.
