General Notes: Husband - Robert Graham

He and his wife were natives of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and afterward residents of Butler County. They removed to Allegheny County in 1815, and purchased a farm near Boston, where they lived until their deaths. Robert Graham was a soldier in the War of 1812. He had five children; only the youngest was still living in 1889. [HAC 1889 ii, 590]

He was reared to manhood in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Until 1800 he was a farmer, cultivating land in Lancaster County, in that year moving to Butler County, Pennsylvania, where he conducted a tannery and traded extensively with the Indians. He was a soldier in the "Dunny Money" Volunteers in the second war with Great Britain, and after the close of the war moved to Elizabeth township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Here he joined his father-in-law, Colonel Thomas Gilchrist. He was a Whig in political inclination, and with his wife belonged to the Associate Reformed Church. [GPHWP, 820]

He and his wife had six children, of whom John K. was the youngest.
