General Notes: Husband - John Anderson Gill


He was born in 1823. [HMC 1888, 1022]
In 1847 he moved to a farm of 100 acres, then mostly woodland, in Wolf Creek township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He built a saw-mill on Wolf Creek, which he ran for twenty years. He held the offices of county auditor, supervisor and school director of the township. In 1856 he was elected justice of the peace. He voted the Republican ticket, and he and family were members of Amity Presbyterian Church.

He was a justice of the peace for forty-eight consecutive years in Wolf Creek, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
