General Notes: Husband - Jefferson Gilmore


He was reared on the old homestead by his uncle, Thomas Gilmore and learned the carpenter trade, which he followed for some years, but in 1866 located on a farm and was then engaged in agriculture. He was a member of Pleasant View Methodist Episcopal church, and filled several of the minor offices of his township.
He and his wife had eight children, just two were living in 1890.
