General Notes: Husband - James G. Strean


On the 1st of April, 1835, the executors of James Gilmore sold two hundred and ninety-nine acres of land [in Franklin township, Washington County, Pennsylvania?] to James G. Strean, where he then resided.

He was one of the most successful wool-growers in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and in 1851 took the prize for the finest wool at the World's Fair in London.
