General Notes: Husband - Edwin E. Goehring


He was born in Jackson township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and was reared and educated in his native county. In 1883 he embarked in farming for himself in Jackson township, and later in Connoquenessing, but in 1885 he returned to the homestead farm in Forward township, and purchased eighty acres of the same, on which he erected substantial improvements. He was also engaged in oil producing, and was the owner of several good wells. Politically, he was a Republican, and he was a deacon and trustee in the Reformed church.
