General Notes: Husband - Samuel Gordon


He was reared at home and educated in the local schools. After marriage, he and his wife located on his paternal home­stead, where they remained until 1839, when they purchased a farm of eighty acres in Lackawannock Township, Mercer County, PA, to which they subsequently added thirty-six acres, where he spent his remaining days. Politically he was a Republican. He and his wife were members of Unity Church. [HMC 1888, 882]
