Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Gotham, 63, wife of Byron Gotham, of 405 Mayer Street, who died suddenly at 6:10 a.m. Sunday in her home, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. George Palmer, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate. Born Oct 31, 1883, at Maple Shade, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Cropp Ziegler, she was married in 1909 in Grace Methodist Church to Byron Gotham, who survives.
A resident of this county most of her life, Mrs. Gotham had been as active member of the Grace Church, the W.S.C.S., the Philathea Bible Class and the Dorcas Society of that church. She was a past matron of the local chapter of the Eastern Star.
Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: Hazel and Eugene, at home; Darwin, of Wilmington, Del.; and Norman, of Rocky Grove. Also surviving are three grandchildren; a brother, W. F. Ziegler, Oil City, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Jones, of Franklin.
The body was removed to the Crawford Funeral Home.
