General Notes: Husband - Samuel Parshall

---

He came to Deerfield township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, in the year 1824 and settled on a claim of three hundred acres at the mouth of Gordon Run. He came originally from Massachusetts to Trumbull County, Ohio, where he married and lived there for some years before he removed to Deerfield. He kept the first post office in the township, and the first elections were held at his place. He and his wife had a family of eight children, all grew to maturity and married.
