WILLIAM S. HECKATHORN
William S. Heckathom, 68, died at his home in Seneca at 2:30 Wednesday after an illness of four months. He was born in Fairview, Butler Co., Dec. 22, 1862, the son of Reuben and Anna Stewart Heckathorn. He has been a resident of that vicinity for the past 36 years and was employed as a drilling contractor. Mr. Heckathorn was a member of the Seneca M.E. Church for 36 years, where he served as elder and a member of the adult Bible class.
He is survived by his wife, Laura G. Heckathorn, and by the following children: Mrs. I. B. Miller of New Middletown, Ohio; Mrs. Q. G. Vincent of Ford City; Mrs. M. E. Wingard of Seneca; Mrs. C. Dale Miller of Meadville; Mrs. C. R. Lutz of New Castle; and Velma and Wayne at home. Two sisters and four brothers survive as follows: Mrs. Mary Moon of Denver, Col.; Mrs. Margaret Burk of Emlenton; Reuben of Victory and John of Rocky Grove.
Funeral services in his memory will be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2 PM at the Seneca M.E. Church with Rev. Charles Steffee in charge, assisted by Mrs. O. H. Nicol, Mrs. O. H. Blumster and Mrs. S. H. Epier, former pastors. Interment will be made in Brandon Cemetery.

MRS. WILLIAM S. HECKATHORN
Mrs. Laura L. Heckathorn, 80, widow of William S. Heckathorn, died at 8:15 PM Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dale Miller, of Seneca. She was born July 1, 1865, at Lisbon, Scrubgrass Twp., the daughter of the late John A. and Lucinda White Goucher. She came to Seneca in 1895, and had resided there since. Her husband died in Feb. 1930. She was a member of the Seneca Meth. Church. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. I.B. Miller of New Middletown, Ohio; Mrs. Q. C. Vincent of Ford City; Mrs. M. E. Winger of Seneca; Mrs. Dale Miller of Seneca; Wayne H. Heckathorn of Seneca; and Mrs. Clara Lutz of New Castle. Also surviving are a brother William Goucher of Oil City; and a sister, Mrs. J. W. Farren of Oil City. The body was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dale Miller.
Services were held Sunday at 3 PM in Seneca with Rev. J. E. Shaffer, pastor of the Seneca Meth. Church, officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons: William Vincent, William, Donald and Duane Miller, William Wingard and Glenn Lutz. Burial was in Brandon Cemetery.
