General Notes: Husband - William D. Mullen


He established in 1809 the first hat-making establishment of Fayette City (Cookstown), Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and was successfully engaged for years in that line of business. He was a Free Mason, a democrat and was a patron of the Genius of Liberty for over half a century. He was for years a justice of the peace and was a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church.

He and his wife had a family of eight children.
