General Notes: Husband - John Henry Gray

He was something over a year old when his father first removed to Warren, Pennsylvania. He attended the common schools until he was seventeen years old. He then learned the shoemaker's trade, worked at it for a while with his father, and finally, in 1876, opened a shoe store which he conducted for some time. He then went to Youngsville and assisted his father in the hotel business for about two years. Later he went to Sheffield, where he conducted the Lee House, and soon after returned to Warren and combined hotel keeping with the wholesale wine business. Politically he was a Democrat.
