General Notes: Husband - Hugh C. Griffith


He was a saddler and followed his trade at various places in southwestern Pennsylvania. His church membership was with the Lutheran denomination.

He was born in Elizabeth township, Allegheny County, PA, and became a harness-maker, following his trade at Elizabeth, West Newton, Buena Vista and finally at Adamsburg, Westmoreland County, where he remained for twenty-four years. About 1888 he removed to Greensburg and engaged in the grocery business.
