General Notes: Husband - Samuel Seibert

---

He was a contractor and builder, the most prominent of his time in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He rebuilt the courthouse after it was destroyed by the Confederates in 1864. As a young man he was a Whig, and represented his county in the State Legislature, in 1848, and again in 1849. He was a strong Union man and an ardent Republican.
