General Notes: Husband - Cassius E. Stubbs


He was educated at the West Chester Academy and State Normal School, Millersville, Pennsylvania, read law under Hon. A. Herr Smith, of Lancaster, attended two courses of lectures at the Law Department of the University of Michigan, where he graduated in the class of 1865; located in Jefferson County, West Virginia, and practiced his profession for several years. While there, he was elected State attorney of that county, and afterwards represented it in the State Legislature. He removed to Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was prosecuting attorney for El Paso County, and represented his constituents in the Senate of the "Centennial State."
