General Notes: Husband - William Johnson

He was of New Haven, Connecticut, where in the town records he is sometimes mentioned as "Wingle" Johnson and is named as "husbandman" and again as "planter". He was one of the founders or original proprietors of Wallingford, Connecticut, in 1670, and one of the signers of the "compact."

He and his wife had thirteen children, of whom Jacob was sixth in order of birth.
