General Notes: Husband - John Anderson

He was a farmer in Raccoon township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, until 1869, when he came to Hopewell township, and there engaged in milling. He first owned and operated a water and steam mill half a mile from New Sheffield, and in 1878 built a steam mill at New Sheffield, which he operated for a number of years. He also was the owner of a farm of fifty acres. He was a Democrat, and worked earnestly in the interests of his party. He held a number of township offices, among them being that of justice of the peace, an office he filled many years. Devout and sincere in his connection with the church, he served for many years as an elder in the United Presbyterian church.
