General Notes: Husband - John Anderson

He came to America from Ireland in 1771, and first settled in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. He was compelled to leave that section on account of the Indians, and some time prior to 1788, came to a place in Washington County, where his descendants were still living over a century later.

In September, 1786, he bought a farm on which his grandson, W. J. Anderson, later resided.
