General Notes: Husband - John Anderson


He was born in Belfast, Ireland. [TCHBC, 1029]
He was born in 1783. [HBC 1895, 909] But he died in 1866 at the age of ninety years - same source.
He died in 1867 at the age of seventy-nine. [HBC 1883, 331]

He emigrated from Ireland and settled near Prospect, Butler County, Pennsylvania, in 1833.
Before coming to America, he was engaged in business as a weaver of hosiery, but after he settled in Franklin Township, Butler County, he followed agricultural pursuits exclusively until the close of his life.

He had two sons and four daughters. Mary, wife of Robinson, is listed as a daughter in HBC 1883 271 & 331. Daughter Catherine is not give in HBC 1883. Catherine, wife of Robert Munce, is given HBC 1895, but Mary is not listed.
