General Notes: Husband - William B. Hammond

He received his preparatory education in the public schools of his native town, afterward attending the Indiana State Normal School and Eastman National Business College, Poughkeepsie, New York. He became treasurer of the William B. Hammond Company, which succeeded to the business of William McClure Hammond, his father. He was a director in the Rennie Electric Drill Machinery Company, of Bolivar, and also in the Bolivar National Bank. Beginning in 1902 he held the office of school director. He was identified with the Republican party, and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, in which he served as trustee.
