General Notes: Husband - Josiah White


He and his wife lived for a time in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, not far from Butler, Butler County. They lived in Newville, Pennsylvania, in 1812.

He enlisted 9-25-1811 for the War of 1812 and served in Capt. Hughes' Co. and was transferred to Capt. Rubin Chamberlin's Co. and Capt. H. H. Villard's Co. 2nd U.S. Infantry. Was discharged 9-23-1816 as member of Capt. Jones 1st U.S. Infantry. (Data from Adjutant-Generals Office of War Dept. at Washington, D.C. reference no. 1846742.)
