General Notes: Husband - Jacob Harbaugh

The third son of his father, on his marriage in 1761, moved to the northwestern part of Frederick County, Maryland, into a small valley, which, because he was one of the first settlers, took the name of "Harbaugh's Valley."

He was six years old when the family emigrated to America. He came to Harbaugh Valley, Maryland, in 1761, the year he married, having previously purchased land in Frederick County, and there he passed his life.
