General Notes: Husband - William Mead

In company with his brother, John Mead, he emigrated from England to America about the year 1640.

He was the immigrant ancestor of the Connecticut Mead family, and is said to have been a brother of Gabriel, ancestor of the Massachusetts family. It is thought that the two brothers with their families sailed from Lydd, county Kent, England, in the ship “Elizabeth,” Captain Stagg, April, 1635. William seems first to have settled at Wethersfield, Connecticut. His name is on the list of those who received home lots and land in Stamford, Connecticut, in 1641, when many went from Wethersfield to that place. He received five acres of land and a home lot.

General Notes: Wife - Ruth Hardy

Another source states that she died in 1651.
