General Notes: Husband - John Harrington


He enlisted during the Civil War, August, 1861, in Company A, One Hundred and Forty-fifth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served in the Second Army Corps under Gen. Hancock, with the Army of the Potomac. After serving about a year, he was honorably discharged on account of disability, caused by disease contracted in the army. He was a farmer, the owner of about one hundred acres of fine land, with nice buildings. He was a Republican in politics, and served as Township Auditor one term, and also as Road Commissioner.
