General Notes: Husband - Jonathan Sterling

German Twp, Fayette Co, PA

He was a farmer all his active business life. He was a prosperous man, and was at one time wealthy, in the local sense. He gave his children good educational advantages, and left them in prosperous circumstances at his death. He was a Democrat. He and his wife were members of the German Baptist Church.
He and his wife had ten children, of whom five sons and three daughters were living in 1882.

He was an active, prosperous farmer of German township, a Democrat, and a member of the Church of the Brethren.
