General Notes: Husband - James R. Robertson

When seven years of age, his parents removed to Franklin, Venango county, PA. His father was a carpenter by trade, but James went back to his old county and learned the making of woolen cloths.
On the 17th of November, 1859, he came from Franklin to McClintock Farm, now called McClintockville. He set up an engine to drill the well, then forty feet in the rock. He located on the leased land of Brewer & Watson. The well was sunk sixty feet deeper before the pumping began.
