General Notes: Husband - William Hastings

They emigrated from the County of Clare, in Ireland, and settled in what is now Clinton County, Pennsylvania, in 1832. The Pennsylvania Canal being then in process of construction, he obtained employment as a laborer thereon, after which he worked as an ordinary farm hand.
