General Notes: Husband - James Thompson

He attended Locust Grove public school, and remained at the home farm until of legal age. He then went to the Pennsylvania oil fields and for one year worked at the oil wells on the Tarr farm in Venango County. He then returned to the home farm, which was thereafter his home. He erected the farm house and barns in 1873 and 1880 and left the farm in a highly improved condition. He was a trustee of the Presbyterian Church for many years, and in political faith was a Democrat.
