General Notes: Husband - William Stevenson


He acquired his education by attending common school and under private tuition. He was senior member of the firm of Stevenson, Foster & Company, printers and binders, a business started by John Cooper (first directory of Pittsburg, 1815), handed down to his son-in-law, William S. Haven, and in turn handed down to his son-in-law, William Stevenson. This business was later carried on as the Stevenson & Foster Company by the sons of William Stevenson. Mr. Stevenson was a United Presbyterian in religion.
