General Notes: Husband - John Benton Hawthorn


Civil War: He enlisted as a private on March 22, 1864, in the 16th Pennsylvania Cavalry (161st Volunteers), Company C. He later died in August, 1864, in the Carver Hospital, Washington, D. C. He was buried in site 7212 at the Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D. C.
