General Notes: Husband - Robert Hayes

His place of birth in either Dauphin or Franklin counties, Pennsylvania. However, it is certain that he farmed for a number of years in Franklin County. Being an exceedingly generous man, and easily imposed upon, he was just as likely to work for the benefit of his neighbors and friends as for himself, but in spite of this at one time he owned two large farms, and he certainly had the friendship of many of the leading people of the county.
