General Notes: Husband - John Hays


He was the son of John and Mary Hays, the latter the famous "Molly Pitcher" of the Revolution. [HAC 1914, 644] This seems unlikely given information from other sources.

He was a farmer in early life, and at thirty years of age engaged in the iron trade.
