General Notes: Husband - Frank Mast


From the age of four years he spent his youth in Madison township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, receiving a common school education. He began his business career as an employee on the Allegheny Valley railroad, and later followed mining. In 1885 he embarked in general merchandising at Rimerton (Rimer post office) and he built up a large and successful business. He was postmaster at Rimer beginning in 1892.

He and his family were members of the Episcopal Church.
He was a member of Kittanning Lodge, No. 244, F. & A. M.
He held various township offices, he served as treasurer of Armstrong
County three years; he served as delegate to several state conventions, and he served three terms as a member of the State Legislature. In politics he was a stanch Republican.
