General Notes: Husband - George W. Hazlett


He attended the public schools of Forward Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and Grove City College. His first employment was with the Butler County National Bank as clerk. He was promoted to bookkeeper and resigned in 1913, to take over his father's interests in the real estate and insurance business. He conducted this business with Mr. McCullough as a partner until 1925, when he bought out Mr. McCullough's interest, and conducted the business under his own name. His offices were located in the Butler County National Bank Building, Main and Diamond Streets.
He was a member of the Sterling Club, Butler Country Club, Rotary Club, and Butler Board of Commerce. His fraternal affiliations were with Lodge No. 272, F. and A. M., past master, 1908; was past high priest of Butler Chapter, R. A. M., No. 273; Allegheny Council, R. S. M. M., No. 38, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; was past commander of Lorain Commandery, Knights Templar, No. 87; and division commander of District 6, which included Sharon, New Castle, Greenville, Beaver Falls, and Butler, Pennsylvania; Pennsylvania Consistory, thirty-second degree, Valley of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; A. A. S. R.; Syria Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S., Pittsburgh; Syria Caravan No. 14, A. A. O. N. M. S.; and past treasurer of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, No. 170. Mr. Hazlett was a Republican and a member of the Second United Presbyterian Church of Butler.
