FRANKLIN — Mrs. G. Eileen Sloss, 71, of 209 Liberty Street, died at 1 am Monday in Franklin Hospital.
Born in Clarion County on January 25, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Aites) Hazlett.
She was married to Thomas R. Sloss in February 1932, who preceded her in death in October 1977.
Mrs. Sloss was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and taught Sunday School there for a number of years.
She was also a member of the church's Helping Hand Class and the Womens' Missionary Prayer Fellowship group.
Surviving are a son, Thomas L. of Burton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Melvin (Rhoda) Kightlinger of Franklin; two grandchildren, Thomas W. and Sherryl R. Sloss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 7-9 pm today and from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home in Franklin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Floyd McFarland, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Graham Cemetery.
