HARRY J. LUSHER
Harry J. Lusher, 69, of 226 Buffalo Street, a veteran of World War I, died suddenly at 10:10 a.m. Friday while working at the home of Mrs. Fred Gramley, 219 Liberty Street.
Mr. Lusher was washing windows when he was stricken. The Franklin Fire Department was summoned and attempted to revive him with the use of the inhilator. Dr. Donald Smith was called and reported that Mr. Lusher had suffered a heart attack. He had been in failing health for some time.
Born November 27, 1895 at Coal City, he was a son of Claude and Laura Jane Flowers Lusher. He had spent his entire life in this area and was a machinist by trade.
He served with the Army during World War I, enlisting October 2, 1917 and he was with the 116th Ammunition Train in France from 1917 to 1919. From then until 1921, when he was discharged, he served with Motorcycle Co. 6.
He married the former Maude Hazelett August 23, 1915 and she survives as does a grandson, Robert T. Smith of Franklin and a great-grandson, Robert T. Smith Jr.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. John Bell of Van and several nieces and nephews. One brother and two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call at the Buchanan - Schmidt Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Howard Witherow of the Christian and Missionary Church will officiate and interment will be in the Graham Cemetery, Bully Hill.

Services for Henry J. Lusher, 226 Buffalo Street, who died Friday were conducted at 3 p. m. Monday in the Buchanan - Schmidt Funeral Home.
The Rev. Howard Witherow, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiated. He read the hymn, "Sometime We'll Understand," the poem, "Should You Go First," and the 23rd and 90th Psalms.
Interment was in Graham Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Francis, William and Clarence Hazlett, Wyllis Alt, Roy Coffee and Thomas L. Sloss.
Attending the service from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sloss of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Art Dieley and son, of Girard, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Crutchman of New Castle and Mary Phenic of New Castle.

Lillian J. Lusher
Mrs. Lillian Maude Lusher, 86, widow of Harry J. Lusher and a resident of Grandview Extendicare, died at 5:40 p.m. yesterday following an extended illness.
A native of Clarion County, she was born Feb. 10, 1890, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Anna Elizabeth Aites Hazlett. She and Mr. Lusher were married in 1915 and he preceded her in death in August 1965.
She held membership in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Surviving are one grandson, Robert T. Smith of Franklin, who made his home with his grandmother as a child, two sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Rhoda) Kightlinger and Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Sloss, both of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.
One great-grandson, Robert T. Smith Jr., also survives.
A daughter, Helen L. Smith, died in 1929 and four brothers and one sister are also
deceased.
The family will receive friends at the Burger-Gardinier Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be held there at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Floyd C. McFarland of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, officiating. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery.

Mrs. Lusher Of Franklin Dies At 86
FRANKLIN - Mrs. Lillian Maude Lusher, 86, died at 5:40 pm Tuesday in Grandview Extendicare.
Born February 10, 1890, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Anna Elizabeth Aites Hazlett. She was married in August, 1915, to Harry J. Lusher, who died in 1965.
Mrs. Lusher was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Franklin.
Survivors include one grandson, Robert T. Smith of Franklin RD 1, whom she raised from infancy, and two sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Rhoda) Kightlinger and Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Sloss, both of Franklin. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Robert T. Smith Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and a daughter, Helen L. Smith, who died in 1929.
Friends may call at the Burger Gardinier Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm Thursday.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday in the funeral home, with Rev. Floyd C. McFarland, pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church officiating. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery.

MRS. LILLIAN LUSHER
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Maude Lusher, 86, of 1 Dale Ave., who died at Grandview Extendicare on Tuesday, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Burger-Gardinier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Floyd C. McFarland, of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, officiated, reading "Beyond the Sunset," "Sunrise" and Psalms 23.
Interment was in Graham Cemetery and the pallbearers were Thomas L. Sloss, Clarence Haylett, Howard Haylett, William Hazlett, Willis Alt and Roy T. Coffey.
Attending services from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cruchman, New Castle, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Sloss, Burton, Ohio.
