SAMUEL C. HECKATHORN
Samuel C. Heckathorn, 68, of Emlenton, died last Saturday morning Nov. 10 at his home after a prolonged illness.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1877, in Venango County and had resided in the Emlenton district his entire life. He was a member of the East Brady United Presbyterian Church.
The following survive: his wife Louella Miller Heckathorn of Emlenton; a son Jack S.; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Moon of Englewood, Calif. and Mrs. Margaret Burk of Emlenton: three brothers, R. J. Heckathorn of Franklin, John C. of Rocky Grove and James G. of Emlenton.
A funeral service was held at 2 PM Wednesday in East Brady United Presbyterian Church with Rev. H. W. Voight officiating. Internment was in East Unity Cemetery.

MRS. SAMUEL (LOUELLA) HECKATHORN
Mrs. Samuel (Louella) Heckathorn, 87, of Emlenton RD 2 died at 10:50 PM, Tuesday in the Bradford Hospital. Born in Butler County on Nov. 20, 1884, a daughter of Sylvester and Margaret (Sloan) Miller, she married Mr. Heckathorn in 1904 in Butler County. He died in 1945.
Mrs. Heckathorn was a member of East Unity Presbyterian Church and the Ruth Fleming Missionary Society of that church. She taught a children's Sunday School class for more than 40 years.
Surviving are a son Jack Heckathorn of Bradford; three brothers, Benjamin Miller of New Middleton, Ohio; Harold K. Miller, Chicora and Clarence Miller, Long Beach, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Vernon (Mary) Bell of Clintonville and and Mrs. Chester (Bernice) Yard of Grove City and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Theodore W. Kuhns Funeral Home in Clintonville where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Saturday in the East Unity United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ross Foster, her pastor, officiating. Internment will be in East Unity Cemetery.
