General Notes: Husband - Isaac K. Heilman

He attended the public schools and remained at home until eighteen years of age, when he went to Sharon, Pennsylvania, and there learned the drug business. He remained there about two years, then removed to Pittsburgh, where he engaged in business for a year or so and then went to Clarion, Clarion County, where with his brother, Amos B., he engaged in the drug trade for one year, at the end of which time he sold out to his brother and returned to Pittsburgh, where he was in the same line of business until March 1, 1889, when he went to Greenville, Mercer County, at which place he was employed by his brother, James A., up to 1907, acting as manager for the Heilman Brothers' lumber business. James A. Heilman died June 1, 1902, when Isaac K. became half owner of the business and later became superintendent and manager of the same.
In religious matters Mr. Heilman was a devoted member of the Lutheran church, with which he was connected since fourteen years of age. Politically he affiliated with the Democratic party. He was a member of the Protected Home Circle and was connected with the Knights of Maccabees; was also a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
