General Notes: Husband - Charles Henderson

---

He was probably born in Scotland and removed with his parents to Ireland near Coote Hill, County Cavan. Came with the family to America in 1795 and located at Pittsburgh where the family spent the winter. Robert and wife with their two daughters, Margaret and Letitia, and two young sons, Charles and Archie, remained in Pittsburgh until the older sons, William, John and Robert, Jr., had established a home for them on land purchased in what is now Worth twp. Mercer County. Later Charles purchased a farm in Venango County, a few miles northeast of Hendersonville, where he resided during the remainder of his life. Those of the younger generation who knew him, said he was a jolly Irishman and a good business man.
