General Notes: Husband - Robert Allison Henderson

He and his wife were deaf mutes. He received little if any education until he was twenty-five years of age when he entered Turtle Creek School. In five years he learned the language, simple fundamentals, and the barber's trade. He met his wife at the Turtle Creek School and on completion of their education they were married. They raised a family of four normal children. Although handicapped, he made a comfortable living for his family and worked at his trade for fifty years, retiring at the age of seventy-five years. At the age of seventy-six, he became a bedfast invalid.
