General Notes: Husband - DeWitt C. Herrington


He attended the Commercial College at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and taught school; in 1861 he went to Colorado and was Clerk of the first court held at Denver. After a residence of four years there, he returned to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, and was engaged as telegraph operator and agent for the New York, Pennsylvania & Ohio Railroad at Shaw’s Landing. In 1880 he went to Dakota, where he acted as agent for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. He later was the Democratic candidate for Clerk of Crawford County.
