He was a graduate of Jefferson College, and was an eminent scholar and teacher and preacher; had charge of Ohio University at Athens, Ohio; was principal of the Edgeworth Female Seminary; wrote a history of the Economites; also author of 'Woman In The Bible,' a commentary.
