General Notes: Husband - William Anthony

He owned a tract of 175 acres in Armstrong township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, which was a wilderness when he settled on it, coming there from York County, Pennsylvania. He was one of the pioneer residents of the region, and Anthony's run, which passed in front of the farm of his grandson, John Jacob Anthony, was named for him. He built a log house, and was engaged the rest of his active life in clearing and cultivating his land.
