General Notes: Husband - Joseph Muhlenberg Hiester


He was educated at Princeton and at the Jefferson Medical school, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating with honors. He resided at Reading and Philadelphia, and at his place at Millmont, in Franklin County, engaging occasionally in the practice of his profession as consulting surgeon. He was much abroad and was appointed commissioner to the first Paris exposition.
