General Notes: Husband - John Himes


His father was an early settler of New Bethlehem, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, locating on a tract of fifty acres. He died leaving a family of three children, who were separated and put to live with strangers. John returned to the locality in 1838 and bought a number of acre lots, and settled down to work as a cabinetmaker, following the trade until his death.
